Airport Lounge, Delayed Flights & a Very Chill Sanyasi

The business lounge at Indira Gandhi International Airport was doing what it does best—pretending to be calm while everyone inside was low-key stressed.

Flights delayed. Phones dying. People pretending to “relax” while aggressively refreshing emails.

In one corner sat three very rich, very famous people.

Aarav—box office superstar, sunglasses indoors, energy slightly… off.
Kiara—social media queen, millions of followers, currently scrolling with zero expression.
Zayn—music producer, luxury sneakers, staring at his cold coffee like it betrayed him.

They had private jets sometimes.

Tonight, they had Indigo delays.

“Bro,” Zayn sighed, “if I see one more email saying ‘just circling back’… I might actually circle back to the Himalayas.”

Kiara didn’t look up. “Same. I posted a ‘happy vibe’ reel 10 minutes ago. I wasn’t even happy while posting it.”

Aarav stretched. “I have everything. And somehow… nothing feels enough. Like—what is this bug in life?”

“Existential bug,” Zayn said. “Needs patch update.”

They laughed.

But not fully.

Enter: The Most Unexpected Character

Right across them sat… a young sanyasi.

Simple clothes. No phone. No AirPods. No visible anxiety.

Just sitting.

Peacefully.

Doing absolutely nothing.

And somehow… not bored.

Aarav squinted. “How is he just sitting like that? No phone? No scrolling? Is that even legal?”

Kiara whispered, “Maybe he’s on airplane mode… permanently.”

Zayn leaned forward. “Bro looks like he downloaded inner peace.”

The sanyasi looked up, smiled slightly.

“Not downloaded,” he said. “More like… uninstalled unnecessary apps.”

They froze.

“Wait,” Aarav said, “did you just… overhear our thoughts?”

The sanyasi grinned. “You guys aren’t exactly whispering. Also… your faces are very expressive.”

Conversation Goes from Chill to Real

Kiara laughed. “Okay fair. But seriously—how are you so calm? No phone, no distractions… nothing?”

The sanyasi shrugged lightly. “Nothing outside. A lot inside.”

Zayn blinked. “That sounded deep… and slightly threatening.”

They all laughed.

Aarav leaned forward. “Okay, real talk. We’re successful. Rich. Famous. But something feels off. Like… we’re constantly chasing something, and when we get it, it’s like—meh.”

The sanyasi nodded. “Yeah. Classic.”

“Classic?” Kiara said. “This is a crisis.”

“It’s a premium crisis,” Zayn added. “Only rich people can afford this level of confusion.”

Even the sanyasi laughed at that.

The Problem: Too Much, Too Fast, Too Soon

“You guys don’t have a success problem,” the sanyasi said.
“You have an energy leakage problem.”

Aarav raised an eyebrow. “Energy leakage? Sounds like my phone battery.”

“Exactly,” the sanyasi said. “Except your battery doesn’t show 5% warning. It just becomes—low mood, no focus, random anxiety.”

Kiara sat up. “Okay… that’s actually accurate.”

Zayn nodded. “And constant need for stimulation. Music, scrolling, people, parties… silence feels weird.”

The sanyasi pointed at him. “That’s it. You’ve trained your mind to need constant input. Now it doesn’t know how to chill.”

Aarav sighed. “So what’s the fix? Therapy? Detox retreats?”

The sanyasi smiled. “Something simpler. Older. Way more powerful.”

Brahmacharya… but Make It Gen Z Friendly

He said it casually.

“Brahmacharya.”

Zayn blinked. “Bro… that sounds like something my dadi would approve of.”

Kiara added, “Also sounds very… restrictive.”

The sanyasi shook his head. “No, no. You guys got it wrong.”

He leaned forward slightly.

“Brahmacharya is basically:
Don’t waste your main character energy on random side quests.”

Silence.

Then—

“WAIT,” Aarav said, “that actually makes sense.”

Kiara laughed. “Main character energy… okay I’m listening.”

What It Actually Means (Without Killing the Vibe)

“Look,” the sanyasi said, “your body and mind have a certain core energy. In Ayurveda, it’s called Ojas.

It’s what gives you:

  • Glow
  • Confidence
  • Focus
  • Emotional stability

But your lifestyle?”

He gestured at them.

“Constant stimulation. Late nights. Endless content. Overthinking. Overdoing. Over-everything.”

Zayn raised his hand. “Guilty.”

“That drains your energy,” the sanyasi continued.
“Not slowly. Fast.”

Kiara nodded. “So we’re basically… overdrafting our own system?”

“Exactly,” he said. “And Brahmacharya is just—learning not to do that.”

Even Global Icons Felt This

Aarav crossed his arms. “Okay but this sounds very… spiritual. Does it actually work in real life?”

The sanyasi smiled. “Let me tell you something.”

“There was a time when one of the most famous music bands in the world came to Rishikesh.

At peak fame. Money, fans, everything.

Still… restless.

So they came here. Sat in silence. Learned to slow down.”

Zayn nodded slowly. “Yeah… I’ve heard about that.”

The sanyasi continued.

“And a young guy, before building Apple Inc., came to India too.

No luxury. Just searching.

Came back with clarity. Focus. Simplicity.

Changed how he built everything.”

Kiara looked thoughtful. “So even people at the top felt this?”

“Almost everyone does,” the sanyasi said.
“They just don’t talk about it publicly.”

So What Do We Do? (No Ashram Required)

Aarav leaned in. “Okay guruji—but give practical tips. We’re not moving to the mountains.”

The sanyasi laughed. “Relax. No mountains needed.”

He said casually:

“Just stop wasting energy on things that don’t matter.”

They stared.

“Examples?” Zayn said.

“Easy,” he replied.

  • Doom scrolling at 2 AM → cut it
  • Constant need for validation → reduce it
  • Filling every silence → don’t
  • Overindulgence in stimulation → control it

Kiara smirked. “So basically… discipline?”

“Yeah,” he said. “But not boring discipline. Smart discipline.”

The Moment It Clicked

There was a pause.

But this time, it felt… lighter.

Aarav looked around. “You know what’s funny? We thought doing more would make us happy.”

Zayn added, “But maybe we just needed to… waste less.”

Kiara smiled. “And protect our energy like it’s VIP access.”

The sanyasi nodded. “Exactly. Because it is.”

Boarding Call & A Subtle Shift

“Final call for boarding…”

People started moving again.

Noise returned.

But something had changed.

Aarav picked up his phone… then put it back.

Kiara opened Instagram… then closed it.

Zayn looked at his coffee… and actually tasted it this time.

“Bro,” he said, “this is wild. Nothing changed… but everything feels different.”

The sanyasi picked up his small bag.

“Happiness,” he said, smiling, “is not something you add to life.”

He paused.

“It’s what remains when you stop draining yourself.”

And Just Like That…

They walked toward their gates.

Back to fame. Work. Pressure. Spotlight.

But now with one upgrade:

Awareness.

Not perfect.

But better.

Because somewhere between delayed flights and dead Wi-Fi…

They realized something simple:

Happiness is possible.
You just have to stop leaking it.
